Are you a qualified non-profit?

Yes, African United Foundation, Inc. received its 501©3 Designation on March 13, 2018, from the IRS. AUF is registered on Charity Navigator  and has received Bronze Level of Transparency on GuideStar

What do you expect from students and youth who attend the programs?

A positive attitude and a desire to learn. Consistent attendance, participation, and respect for one another are key elements.

How do you measure the impact that African United Foundation is having?

We track the following:
Number of student tuitions we pay to the Scottish Bilingual Nursery & Primary School each year.
Number of students who receive school supplies.
Number of children who attend the After-School Programs.
Number of Young Adults who complete the vocational training program.
The goal, with the help of our doners, supporters and Grant Funding is to increase our student reach 20% year-over-year.

Who serves on the Board?

The Executive Team is comprised of William Nkemson, Executive Director, William Nkemson; President, Christopher Akeibom Toh, and Program Director, Henrietta Bettah. Each of their stories are found on the About Us Page.

How are the expenses funded?

Up to this point, out of the generosity of the Executive Director, his family, and friends. The Executive Team does not draw a salary from the non-profit. They serve children and young adults from the goodness of their heart. There are 4 Ways You Can Help the efforts of African United Foundation. Effective in 2023 we are seeking funding support through Foundation Grants, as well.

What does the organization do to protect information?

The Donation platforms and Community Rewards Programs are respected and trusted platforms such as PayPal, GuideStar, Kroger and Amazon.

Since the organization is based in the United States, how often does the Executive Team visit Africa and the children?

Two times per year—typically June and December.

How else are supplies given to the Children in Africa?

Donations, supplies, and non-perishable food are shipped to the Private School in Mutengene, Cameroon—as we have a long-standing relationship with the School Director, Rebecca Nahgela Gwaabe.

Beyond a financial donation--How can I help?
